Horizon Europe Pillar II info session for U.S. researchers

Following our post earlier this week on recently released open calls under Horizon Europe, EURAXESS North America is glad to announce an info session on Horizon Europe for researchers based in the United States (primarily principal investigators) and institutions interested in European Union funding. Horizon Europe is the largest-ever EU funding program for research and innovation, with a €95.5 billion budget for the 2021-2027 period.

This info session will explain Pillar II, "Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness," and explain how U.S. institutions and researchers can apply to open calls. Pillar II features €53.5 billion in funding.

The webinar will take place on Zoom on Thursday, June 22nd, 2023 at 12:00 noon Eastern Time (convert to your local time zone here). It will be held in English and is completely free but advance registration is required.

Horizon Europe info day 2024 - Cluster 1 "Health"

This info day aims to inform potential applicants about topics included in the Cluster 1 "Health" work program of 2024. You may register and read more information here.

It will take place on June 1st, 2023 at 9:00 AM CEST (convert to your local time zone here). North America-based researchers are encouraged to register to add it to your event history and then check back a few days later to view the recording. You can also bookmark the European Commission's Research and Innovation website for Cluster 1 "Health". See the brokerage event below for more opportunities.

Cluster Health - Horizon Europe Brokerage Event 2024

The Brokerage Event is organized to follow up on the Cluster 1 "Health" info day above that will take place on June 1st. This international partnering event will help you to build your consortium for the upcoming 2024 calls of the 2023-2024 Health Work Program.

The all-day event will be held online on June 2nd, 2023 and begins at 9:30 AM CEST (convert to your local time zone here), which North America-based researchers may find difficult to attend due to the time zone difference. With that in mind, researchers in the U.S. and Canada may wish to encourage their Europe-based peers to attend. Register by May 29th. The event will be recorded and shared afterwards (see the January 2023 edition here). Even if you cannot participate live, you are invited to send your pitch presentations to the host.

MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship host institute info sessions

Host institutes from several European countries will host live webinars pitching their university, so if you are interested applying to the MSCA-PF 2023 call and going to Europe (or moving within Europe), take the opportunity to meet with these representatives and learn more. They will take place on June 5th and 6th. See more information and register here.
