The call for EPOS scholarships is open. This DAAD full scholarship program, called Development-Related Postgraduate Courses (EPOS) in English and Entwicklungsbezogene Postgraduiertenstudiengänge (EPOS) in German, offers professional graduates the possibility of pursuing Master's or Doctoral studies at German universities.
The call for EPOS scholarships includes a specific list of academic programs in various areas at already selected universities in Germany. This scholarship program only applies to the Masters and Doctorates indicated in the call. To find out the details, it is essential to read the Guide to apply for the EPOS 2025/26 call.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
This scholarship program is aimed at students with an undergraduate or master's degree who have at least two years of work experience in any of the following areas:

▪ Regional and Urban Planning
▪ Agricultural and Forest Sciences
▪ Natural and Environmental Sciences

IN WHAT LANGUAGE CAN YOU TAKE YOUR MASTER'S OR DOCTOR'S DEGREE IN GERMANY?
The majority of academic programs covered by EPOS scholarships are taught entirely in English. Only two programs require knowledge of German. The required English or German exams and scores are determined by German universities.
WHAT DO EPOS SCHOLARSHIPS OFFER?
These full (comprehensive) scholarships include:
* Global amount for air tickets.
* 934 Euros per month for Master's and 1300 Euros per month for Doctorate, to cover living expenses.
* Medical insurance, accident insurance and civil liability insurance.
* 460 Euros per year for study and research expenses.
* Intensive German course (2-6 months. Duration defined by each academic program). The DAAD offers this course to both people who are going to do their Master's or Doctorate in English and to those who are going to do it in German.
REQUIREMENTS AND APPLICATION PROCESS
To apply for this scholarship program, it is essential to review the Guide to apply for the EPOS 2024/25 call in which we explain in detail the processes, steps and requirements to apply, and answer questions about the required documentation.
APPLICATION DATES
The date to apply is determined by each German university. Most studies begin in Germany between September and October 2025. Each German university determines the dates for applying and the start of studies. List of application dates for each program.
