What is the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship about?

The aim of the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships is to equip postdoctoral researchers with complementary professional skills for their future careers through the implementation of a personalised research project. International, interdisciplinary and intersectoral mobility is the central element here.

Who is eligible?

Researchers of any nationality and from all scientific disciplines with a doctoral degree and a maximum of 8 years of full-time post-graduate research experience at the time of the submission deadline are eligible to apply.

Where can I carry out the Fellowship?

European Postdoctoral Fellowships are available at a host institution in any of the 27 EU Member States or at a host institution in any of the current Horizon Europe Associated Countries.

The mobility rule applies to all applicants: they may not have lived or worked in the host institution’s country for more than 12 months in the 36 months prior to the submission deadline.

When is the deadline?

Speakers details :

Cristina Gómez is the Spanish National Contact Point and National Delegate for MSCA since 2014 at the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT), institution that she joined back in 2002. After carrying different roles in the financial department, she joined the International Projects Unit in 2009 where, among other duties, she coordinated EURAXESS at national level. She became part of the European Office in 2013, the department whose objective is to encourage the participation of Spanish Institutions in European Framework Programmes. She has over 15 years of experience in national and European research landscape, with a focus on career development and mobility of researchers and specific activities to support the collaboration of Europe and Latin-American and Caribbean countries in the scope of MSCA. As NCP, her role is to promote MSCA among the research community and Spanish institutions and support applicants during the whole life circle of the projects. To do so, she carries out promotional activities on a periodic basis, pre-screen proposals and delivers on-hands trainings while also organizing support actions for management and implementation phases of funded projects. She holds a B.A in Tourism Management, a Postgraduate degree in R&I Management and a Master in International Cooperation.

Maruf Sanni is an Assistant Director at the National Centre for Technology Management (NACETEM), an agency of the Federal Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation, Nigeria. He has a Ph.D. in Public Policy with a focus on Environmental Sustainability from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa. His research examines economic activities at the intersection of technological change and environmental sustainability. Specifically, his field of research includes low-carbon innovation development pathways, climate-resilient development, and climate change policy. He has served as a research fellow at the United Nations University Institute for Natural Resources in Africa, Accra, Ghana and the International Centre for Science and High Technology of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, Trieste, Italy. He recently completed a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions fellowship at the European Institute of Economics and the Environment, Milan, Italy. His project, ECO-innovation and the Dynamics of External Knowledge Sourcing (ECO-DEKS), examined the dynamics of alliance portfolio for eco-innovation in the manufacturing and service sectors in developing countries. He investigated points of departure or convergence between the two sectors in open eco-innovation studies. He is currently the head, Technology Management Education and Training Department at NACETEM.

Leila Triki is part of the Tunisian National Contact Points (NCP) team for Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions under European research and innovation programmes with expertise in Intellectual Property (IP). Throughout her career, Leila has held several key positions, including her role as Chief Engineer, Head of the Specialized Unit for Technology Transfer, Project and Marketing Engineer (T2IPM) at the National Institute for Physico-chemical Research and Analysis (INRAP), at the Technological Pole of Sidi Thabet. She has exercised her expertise in several fields with different projects, as a trainer and expert in Intellectual Property, technology transfer and entrepreneurship by supervising and training young student entrepreneurs within the framework of national contests.
