Placement students develop valuable transferable skills that enhance their employability prospects while employers have access to talented individuals who bring a fresh approach to their businesses.

Host employers benefit from the specialised expertise our talented postgraduates can bring to work-based projects covering a range of disciplinary backgrounds. These might be anything from a scientific research project that needs specialist resources and expertise, to developing a marketing strategy for your business.

What can EURAXESS learn from this?

University of Nottingham counts with an in-house employment agency, an online recruitment service through which students, recent graduates and experienced candidates to provide qualified, temporary staff to businesses. This is a key resource over which several of the engagement services build upon.

As this option may not be feasible for all institutions, the use of the EURAXESS portal partnering should be fostered as much as possible.
