The European Commission’s annual flagship Research and Innovation event brings together policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs, and the public to debate and shape the future of research and innovation in Europe and beyond.
This fifth edition of the event will take place on 20 and 21 March 2024 both physically in Brussels and online, allowing everyone to get involved from anywhere.
The R&I Days 2024 will give you the opportunity to debate how we can make Europe more sustainable and competitive and will celebrate the outcomes and achievements in research and innovation over the last 40 years, since the launch of the first R&I Framework Programme.

European Research and Innovation Days 2022
The European Research and Innovation Days 2022 took place online on 28 and 29 September 2022.
The conference brought together 12,000 people from over 100 countries, including policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs, and citizens. Over 200 speakers joined more than 50 live sessions and interactive workshops to debate and shape the future of research and innovation in Europe and beyond.
The online Exhibition We are on Mission for 2030, about the five EU Missions, was launched at the EU R&I Days 2022.

European Research and Innovation Days 2021
The 2021 European Research and Innovation Days took place on 23 and 24 June 2021 and it was a fully digital event, allowing the participants to get involved from anywhere.
Consisting of a Policy conference and the Research and Innovation exhibition, the event brought together over 21,000 participants from over a 100 different countries in 70+ sessions and workshops under the policy conference.

European Research and Innovation Days 2020
The 2020 European Research and Innovation Days was the first online edition and took place from September 22 to 24.
Consisting of a Policy conference and the Science is Wonderful! exhibition, the event brought together over 35 000 registered participants from 188 countries in 146 sessions under the policy conference, and the exhibition saw over 6000 visits, including from schools, universities and citizens.
