
The Momentum MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship Program (Momentum PPDF) invites ambitious and talented researchers from across the globe to apply for one of 35 prestigious postdoctoral fellowships in Hungary. This distinguished initiative aims to support emerging scientific leaders within the renowned “Lendlet” Momentum Research Groups of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA).
About the Program
Launched in 2009, the “Lendlet” Momentum program is a flagship initiative of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, designed to empower exceptional scientists to establish independent, autonomous research groups. With over 225 successful groups supported to date, the program has been pivotal in strengthening Hungary’s research landscape.
The Momentum PPDF, co-funded by the European Union and MTA under the prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions grant, will run for five years. It provides unmatched opportunities for researchers to excel in a globally competitive academic environment.

Eligibility Criteria
Open to applicants of all nationalities
Must possess a doctoral degree by the application deadline (or have successfully defended their thesis unconditionally)
Cannot have lived or worked in Hungary for more than 12 months in the past 3 years
Researchers already employed by a “Lendlet” Momentum host organization are ineligible
Only complete applications submitted in English through the official platform will be considered
