GAIN24: German Academic International Network Annual Conference

The German Academic International Network (GAIN) invites all postdocs and early career researchers to join the GAIN Annual Conference and Talent Fair in San Francisco, CA from August 23rd to 25th, 2024. The conference brings together postdocs and leaders from the German science and research community for three days of networking, career planning, and exchange.

Learn about open positions, junior research group leader opportunities, paths to professorship, and other careers for researchers in Germany. Many networking opportunities with leaders from universities, research and funding organizations, German business, and politics.

Attend the GAIN Annual Conference and participate in workshops in either English or German, present your research at the GAIN Science Slam (with a cash prize of USD $3,000), join the network of over 500 postdocs, scientists, and experts from various fields.

German-speaking scientists working in the Americas may apply for a grant that is open to all disciplines and covers the attendance costs (USD $630), as well as a two-night hotel stay for the duration of the conference.

On the Saturday afternoon (August 24th), the program will be held entirely in English. There is no attendance cost, and once registered, attendees may schedule individual meetings with any of the universities, research institutions, and funding agencies represented at the conference. Participants are welcome to attend any of the group workshops, as well as the GAIN Talent Fair. With that in mind, prospective attendees are encouraged to read more at the links below and register either as German-speaking or English-speaking (international, Saturday only).
