The RESPIRE4 Postdoctoral Research Fellowship programme is an international, intersectoral and interdisciplinary programme providing Marie Skłodowska-Curie opportunities to early stage scientists, researchers and clinicians with the potential to become the leaders of tomorrow in respiratory research.
Applicants from any discipline (e.g. life sciences, engineering, mathematics, information technology, biochemistry, pharmacology, social sciences, health psychology, public health, implementation research) are highly encouraged to apply to carry out research in an area related to respiratory science/medicine, in line with the reference document, the ERS 10 Principles for Lung Health.
Information for applicants and key deadlines
- The 3rd call of RESPIRE4 is now open with deadline on 1 May 2022 (23:59 CEST). The updated Application Guidance, FAQs and application platform for the 3rd call are now available.
- The RESPIRE fellowship programme is open to researchers with a PhD or four years of full-time research experience from any discipline.
- Fellowship recipients have the flexibility to choose and develop their own research project, but research must be related to the respiratory field.
- Projects should be completed in 24 months (European Fellowships) or 36 months (Global Fellowships).
- Fellows can choose to conduct their research project at an ever-expanding list of pre-registered host centres. Access the RESPIRE Web Host Registry to see the available host centres.
- Applications are welcome across the spectrum of respiratory research from basic science, translational and clinical research to health systems and implementation research.
