VII Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) Research Symposium

The symposium seeks to strengthen the structuring of networks of national and international researchers in order to promote the development of multidisciplinary research projects with a real impact on national socioeconomic development, in line with Fundação Getulio Vargas’ mission.

During the three days of the event, experts from different areas and countries will come together to dialogue about the main challenges faced by the Brazilian population today.

The following topics will be addressed at this year's Symposium:

• Research, Innovation and the Productive Sector;
• Ethics and Integrity in Research;
• The Impact of Climate Change, Pollution and Environmental Disasters on the Health of the Population;
• Communication and the New Social Order;
• FGV Partnership;
• Tax Reform and the Fiscal Framework.

In addition to the panel discussions, the Symposium will feature an opening roundtable on "The Impact of Science on Society and on the Advancement of Knowledge".

Flash Presentations

In this edition, a session of flash presentations will also be featured, in which researchers any area of knowledge will be able to present their research project proposals in up to 10 minutes, with the aim of identifying SSH partners during the event. 

Proposals for flash presentations should be sent by 21 August to research.net@fgv.br.

Templates & Guidelines

The VII FGV Research Symposium will be attended by researchers, representatives of national and international research funding agencies, as well as the private and public sectors. The aim is to promote interaction between academia and these sectors in order to develop research with a high impact on society.

VII Simpósio de Pesquisa da Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV)

O objetivo do Simpósio é estruturar redes de pesquisadores do Brasil e do exterior, com o propósito de promover a realização de projetos de pesquisa multidisciplinares com alto impacto no desenvolvimento socioeconômico do país, contribuindo, assim, com a missão da FGV. 

Durante os três dias do evento, especialistas de diferentes áreas e países se reunirão para dialogar sobre os principais desafios enfrentados pela população brasileira atualmente. Os seguintes temas serão abordados no Simpósio deste ano: Pesquisa, Inovação e Setor Produtivo; Ética e Integridade em Pesquisa; O Impacto das Mudanças Climáticas, Poluição e Desastres Ambientais sobre a Saúde da População; Comunicação e Nova Ordem Social; Parceria FGV; Reforma Tributária e o Marco Fiscal.

Além dos painéis de debate, o Simpósio contará com uma mesa-redonda de abertura com o tema “O Impacto da Ciência na Sociedade e no Avanço do Conhecimento”. Nesta edição, haverá também uma sessão de flash presentations, na qual pesquisadores de diversas áreas do conhecimento poderão expor suas propostas de projetos de pesquisa em até 10 minutos, com o objetivo de identificar parceiros durante o evento.

O VII Simpósio de Pesquisa da FGV contará com a presença de pesquisadores, representantes de agências de financiamento de pesquisas nacionais e internacionais, assim como dos setores privado e público. O objetivo é promover a interação entre a academia e esses setores, a fim de desenvolver pesquisas com elevado impacto na sociedade.
