Every year, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) hosts the prestigious Green Talents – International Forum for High Potentials in Sustainable Development to promote the international exchange of innovative green ideas within the field of sustainability. The award, under the patronage of the German Federal Minister of Education and Research, honours young researchers from numerous countries and scientific disciplines for their achievements and efforts to making their communities, countries and societies more sustainable. Selected by a jury of German experts, the award winners are granted unique access to the country’s research elite.

Science forum: 25 Green Talents will get exclusive access to some of Germany's sustainability hubs at the Virtual Science Forum in October 2022. During this multi-day event, the awardees will gain insights into groundbreaking research and projects, learn about Germany's research community, and engage in conversations with some of the country's leading sustainability researchers and experts.
Research stay: Bring your research to the next level when you are invited to return for a fully-funded research stay. Spend up to three months at a German facility of your own choice. Gain new experiences in an inspiring environment and advance your professional career while establishing long-lasting relationships.
