About

Since 2021, the Science and Technology Department of the French Embassy in Japan has been organizing the “Hidden Beauty of Science” or “科学の幽玄” research image competition, an annual event whose objectives are to make science accessible to the general public and strengthen links between researchers in France and Japan.
Through a selection of ten award-winning works in recent editions of the competition, the temporary exhibition Hidden Beauty of Science invites you to immerse yourself in the captivating, sometimes little-known, world of research. By bringing together work from a wide diversity of scientific disciplines, it also illustrates the richness of Franco-Japanese scientific cooperation, which celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of its first agreement in 2024.
