Header picture contest! Submit your pictures to be selected as portal headers for 2017 and beyond!

We are calling for header pictures under the theme of 'the four seasons, in Japan or in Europe'. Please submit your nicest ones under the following categories (submitting under one, or several, or all categories is possible):

 + Winter in Europe

 + Spring in Europe

 + Summer in Europe

 + Autumn in Europe

 + Winter in Japan

 + Spring in Japan

 + Summer in Japan

 + Autumn in Japan

The pictures must either have the exact dimensions of 1440 pixels (width) by 342 pixels (height), or present a dimension ratio of 4.21 for 1.

How will the images be used:

As header of the new EURAXESS Japan portal (tentative visualisation below)

Prize:

The winners will see their pictures selected as headers of the new EURAXESS Japan web portal. The name or pseudonym of the author (which must be the same as the person who submits the picture) will be credited on the website when the picture is used, with a license attribution through Creative Commons 'Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International' license (see here for a description). There is no monetary prize invlolved!

The pictures will be credited as following under the 'About & contact' section:

"picture name (if needed with hyperlink to original posting webpage)", by "author name (if needed with hyperlink to author webpage)", licensed under CC BY-NC 4.0, [if necessary: modifications brought to the picture]

Entry conditions:

Free entry to any researcher, student or R&I-related professional of any nationality who are members of the EURAXESS Japan community (automatic addition of the author/submitter to the community upon entry).

Entry period:

20 December 2016 to 20 January 2017 (Winter 2017 call)

Judging:

Pictures will be judged on originality, composition, overall impact and subject matter relevance.
