DREAM+PLAN fosters interdisciplinary collaboration, providing doctoral candidates with the tools and support needed to develop impactful solutions to both local and global environmental issues. The program promotes academic excellence while integrating industrial and policymaking perspectives, ensuring that researchers gain hands-on experience in real-world applications.
Who Can Apply?
The program welcomes researchers from all nationalities, provided they meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Mobility Rule – Applicants must not have lived or conducted their primary activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the Employing Institution for more than 12 months within the past 36 months prior to the application deadline.
- Experience Rule – Candidates must be doctoral researchers at the time of recruitment, meaning they should not yet hold a PhD. Even if they have defended their thesis but have not been formally awarded the doctoral degree, they will not be eligible.
- Academic Requirements – Applicants must have completed a Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline and demonstrate English language proficiency.
Successful candidates will be enrolled in a PhD program in at least one EU Member State or a Horizon Europe Associated Country. For positions where a dual degree with RMIT University (Australia) is applicable, candidates must also enroll at RMIT University at the time of signing their employment contract with the Employing Institution.
