This information session will provide an overview of the various ERC grants and showcase how researchers from India can apply for these prestigious fundings.

Who should attend?
This session is directed at post-doctoral researchers and established researchers (PhD + 2 to 15 years of experience) of all disciplines and all nationalities. This webinar will focus on researchers based in INDIA.
When will this webinar take place?
This 90min webinar will take place on Wednesday 13 November at 3:00-4:30pm IST/ 10.30-12.00 CET. Please ensure you confirm the timing in the time zone where you are based!
Will participants be able to ask questions?
Webinar participants will be able to submit questions to the speakers during the webinar in writing via the Q&A function.
All participants will receive an attendance certificate. The webinar is free of charge but registration is mandatory.
The European Research Council (ERC) is the premier European funding organisation for excellent frontier research. The ERC supports investigator-driven frontier research across all fields. It awards research grants to scientists and scholars from all over the world, both early-career and senior researchers, carrying out their ambitious research projects in all scientific disciplines in Europe.

About the Speakers
Dr. Alexandra Dusa is a Scientific Officer at the European Research Council Executive Agency (ERCEA). She works in the LS7 Panel (Prevention, Diagnosis and Treatment of Human Diseases), where she supports organising the evaluation of proposals submitted in different calls, as well as the monitoring of the funded projects. She obtained a BA in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of California at Berkeley, an MSc in Chemistry from the University of California Santa Cruz, and a PhD in Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Université Catholique de Louvain.
Dr. Vikas Trivedi is a Group Leader at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Barcelona with a joint appointment at EMBL Heidelberg, Germany. He is also the co-Chair of Theory@EMBL transversal theme. He received a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree from the Indian Institute of Kanpur and PhD from California Institute of Technology (Caltech, Pasadena, USA). After a brief postdoctoral stint at University of Cambridge, UK, he established his own research lab at EMBL Barcelona where his group aims to understand the self-organization of cells, fundamental to metazoan development, through comparative study of embryos and organoids that generate a global coordinate system de novo. He is also the coordinator of a Synergy Grant by European Research Council (ERC).
