GUIDE FOR EUROPEAN RESEARCHERS ON FUNDING AND GRANTS IN CHINA PUBLISHED

FUNDING word on wood blocks concept

EURAXESS China is glad to inform you that a new Guide was produced under the EU-funded project “Improving EU Access to National and Regional Financial Incentives for Innovation in China” (www.chinainnovationfunding.eu). The Guide was presented on January 14th during the Final Event & New Year’s Reception of the above-mentioned project at the EU Delegation to China.

Based on more than one year of daily monitoring and analysis, the Guide for European Researchers on Funding and Grants in China provides a comprehensive and up-to-date picture of the funding landscape in China for European researchers. It focuses in particular on the detailed processes of publication of calls, and of submission and evaluation of applications. These are grouped under five main groups:

  • Basic and applied research in natural sciences;
  • Humanities and social sciences;
  • “Industry-University-Research” grants and subsidies;
  • International cooperation and co-funding schemes;
  • Mobility programmes from Europe to China.

Case studies are presented, together with some considerations collected directly from European researchers in China. The study can be accessed from the following link: http://chinainnovationfunding.eu/guide-for-european-researchers-on-funding-and-grants-in-china/.

EURAXESS China supported the project by collecting feedbacks from its extensive network of European researchers with direct experience in applying to basic and applied research grants in natural sciences, and by contributing to the drafting of the section about mobility programmes for European researchers to China, with special regards to the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions.

EURAXESS China is glad to promote this useful resource to European researchers in China.
