Thai and Malaysian researchers are Green Talent awardees 2018

Two ASEAN researchers are among 25 researchers from 21 countries who have been chosen as Green Talents 2018.

Thailand's Dr Nithi Atthi is a researchers in electronics and applied physics at the National Electronics and Computer Technology Centre. His work focuses on large-area flexible polymers with antifouling robust micro-structure for marine and medical applications.

Dr Ong Wee Jun is Assistant Professor in Chemical Engineering at Xiamen University Malaysia where he works on engineering next-generation nanomaterials toward efficient artificial photosynthesis for sustainable fuel production from sunlight.

The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) hosts the prestigious ”Green Talents – International Forum for High Potentials in Sustainable Development” to promote the international exchange of innovative green ideas. The award honours young researchers each year. The winners come from numerous countries and scientific disciplines and are recognised for their outstanding achievements in making our societies more sustainable.
