Congratulations to Dr Xiao-Shan Yap who has just been awarded an ERC Starting Grant! Dr Yap is part of the 400 ambitious early-career researchers selected by the European Research Council (ERC) under the Starting Grants call 2023. The funding, worth €628 million in total and on average €1.5 million per grant, will enable those excellent younger scientists, who have 2 to 7 years’ experience after their PhDs, to launch their own projects, form their teams and pursue their most promising ideas.
The selected proposals cover all disciplines of research, from engineering to life sciences to humanities.
