First Call for Proposals under the Thailand-Spain Innovation Programme in Life Sciences. Deadline 24 January 2020

This call for proposals aims to launch ambitious joint R&D projects of a high international standard between Thai and Spanish organizations. Potential projects will be funded by TCELS in Thailand and CDTI in Spain.

Thematic Areas

This Call is open to collaborative R&D projects in the following areas/sectors: • Regenerative & Precision Medicine • Functional Foods • Natural-based products • Medical Devices & Robotics • Clinical Research • IT Health applications

Types of Proposals

Industry-driven and market-oriented R&D projects, joint technological co-operation projects between research centers, universities, hospitals, companies or other R&D organizations in Thailand and industrial partners (start-ups, SMEs and large companies), in Spain consisting in the development or substantial improvement of new products, processes or services will be considered. Duration of projects: from 1 year up to 3 years. The proposals have to cover the thematic areas mentioned above to enhance biregional co-operation and develop new partnerships as well as strengthen existing ones

Who Can Apply

Eligible Spanish Applicants: Spanish consortia should include at least one company. Participation of research institutes/universities and other organizations is welcome as self-funded participants or subcontractors.

Eligible Thai Applicants: Thai side of the consortia can be led either by research institutions, universities, startups, SMEs’ with a branch in the territory of Thailand with specific share of funding for the eligible types of entities as follows: ▪ Public research institutes: 100% of the eligible project related costs can be funded. ▪ Private research entities: 80% of the project related costs are eligible.
