About

The cooperation in research and innovation between Singapore and the European Union (EU), along with individual EU member states, is both dynamic and diverse. Partnerships thrive on a foundation of bilateral agreements and joint initiatives and drive forward collaborative research efforts across various fields.
Open Science transforms the way research is conducted by fostering transparency, efficiency, and accessibility. Open Science makes research more responsive to societal needs and policy demands. Therefore, Open Science is at the heart of European research policy and a priority of its key research funding framework Horizon Europe.
As Singapore and Europe deepen their research cooperation, embracing Open Science is crucial. This approach not only enhances the quality and impact of research but also accelerates the development of innovative solutions to global challenges, including Climate Change and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
The EU-Singapore Research and Innovation Community Meeting on “Open Science” is part of an event series hosted by EURAXESS in cooperation with university and R&D partners to encourage interdisciplinary dialogue between researchers and innovators from Singapore, Southeast Asia and Europe.
We warmly welcome researchers, academics, PhD students, innovators, business representatives and policy makers and professionals from various disciplines with expertise and/or strong interest in the topic of Open Science.
