Following its long-time tradition of successful international post-graduate and doctoral training, FEEM supports Marie Sklodowska-Curie Postdoctoral European Fellowships applications.

FEEM, as Italian host institution, provides support to individual experienced researchers who meet the requirements under the Horizon Europe Programme. Research proposals entail a period of 12-24 months at FEEM, with reference to the 2024 Call Marie Sklodowska-Curie – 𝑷𝒐𝒔𝒕𝒅𝒐𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝑬𝒖𝒓𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒏 𝑭𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑𝒔 (𝑯𝑶𝑹𝑰𝒁𝑶𝑵-𝑴𝑺𝑪𝑨-2024-𝑷𝑭-01).

For the current MSCA Postdoctoral European Fellowships call, FEEM is interested in receiving proposals in the area of: 

  1. Climate Adaptation in the Water-Energy-Food Nexus
  2. Economic Valuation of Coastal Ecosystems for Climate Resilience
  3. Cost-Benefit/Efficiency Analysis of Nature-Based Solutions
  4. Common Movements of Commodity Prices and the Macroeconomy:
    1. Common movement analysis with cointegration and factor models
    2. A monetary policy model for commodity price comovements: an application of Factor-Augmented Structural VAR model
  5. Moving Forward Through the Energy Transition: Re-evaluating the Role of Energy Commodity Markets in the Global Economy:
    1. Analysing the relationship between energy and non-energy sectors and economic fluctuations with macroeconometric models
    2. Economic and climate scenarios with Global Structural VAR models
  6. Measuring Climate Change and extreme weather events:
    1. Development of new indicators of climate change and comparison with existing approaches
    2. Modelling the interactions among new indicators of climate change and key macroeconomic variables
  7. The impacts of climate policies on labour reallocation and skill mismatches: theoretical and empirical evaluations
  8. Distributional effects of climate policies and green deal plans on workers using matched employer-employee and job posting data
  9. The political economy of the energy transition, with a particular focus on structural drivers and material interests
  10. Assessing emerging inequalities in the low-carbon transition: gender, health and income
  11. Micro and/or macroeconomic models to assess the Water-Energy (and Food) nexus in an uncertain framework
  12. Decarbonization, renewable resources: microeconomic models for evaluating investments in condition of uncertainty
  13. Agent based Models for Environmental Economics and Energy transition
  14. Access to energy, decentralization, mix of resources for the ecological transition
  15. The Economics of Critical Raw Materials and Energy Transition Metals:
    1. Modelling and scenario analysis of markets for critical raw materials and energy transition metals using econometric methods
    2. Assessing the macroeconomic impacts of critical raw materials and energy transition metals
    3. Modelling and Forecasting commodity prices, demand and supply using time series and panel data models
    4. Modelling spillovers between commodity markets using network econometrics
    5. Analyzing the sustainability of the global supply chain of clean energy technologies
  16. Innovation policy for energy system transformation:
  17. Assessing innovation in recycling, reuse and in the context of energy transition policies
  18. Measuring the material intensity of green patents
  19. Modelling the impact of high VRES penetration, hydrogen and increased frequency of adverse extreme weather events on the European and Italian power and gas systems to define resilient decarbonization strategies

Additional Information

Eligibility criteria

  • Candidates must be in possession of PhD and cannot have more than eight years of research experience after PhD, at the time of the deadline of the call (11/09/2024); candidates who have successfully defended their doctoral thesis but who have not yet formally been awarded the doctoral degree are also eligible.
  • Eligible researchers can be of any nationality and must not have resided or carried out their main activity in Italy for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before the call deadline (11/09/2024).
