International Conference: Revolutionizing Sustainable Development through AI and Advanced Modeling, and Funding Opportunities through Horizon Europe, Hawassa University, Ethiopia

EURAXESS Africa, in collaboration with the Computational Science and Engineering Society of Ethiopia (CSESE), the College of Natural and Computational Sciences of Hawassa University, and the European Union Delegation to the African Union, will be co-hosting a two-day hybrid event at Hawassa, Ethiopia from July 26-27, 2024. In Addition, July 25 is dedicated to hands-on training on Python and Machine/Deep Learning, as well as Gaussian and Quantum Espresso DFT codes. 

Venue: Hawassa University, College of Natural and Computational Sciences, Main Campus, Africa Union Hall.

During the upcoming 3rd annual Congress of the Computational Science and Engineering Society of Ethiopia (CSESE), several selected research papers will be presented, featuring plenary talks and outstanding paper presentations focused on cutting-edge topics such as Artificial Intelligence, advanced Materials Modeling and Simulation, and their applications in critical areas like energy, climate, agriculture, health, and environmental science - providing a valuable platform for researchers, engineers, and scientists in computational science and engineering to share their latest findings and advancements. 

Moreover, EURAXESS Africa and the European Union delegation to the African Union based in Addis Ababa will present various cooperation and funding opportunities for higher education institutions, research institutes, and individual researchers to engage with Horizon Europe and other EU-AU partnership initiatives. The side event will also feature discussions on mobility and career development opportunities for studying and conducting research in Europe.

University administrators, researcher institution directors, industry leaders, and researchers in the area of computational science and engineering, as well as anyone interested in EU-Africa collaboration in science, technology, and innovation, are cordially invited to participate in this informative and collaborative event.
