“Horizon Europe South African National Contact Points’ Network Announcement & Presentation of Work Programme 2023-2024 and its Africa Initiative II – Focus on South Africa”

This event was co-organised by European Commission, DG Research & Innovation, with the support of EURAXESS Africa, in close collaboration with South Africa’s Department of Science and Innovation (DSI), the “Strengthening Science, Research and Innovation Cooperation between Europe and South Africa (ESASTAP)” and the EU Delegation to South Africa.

The event intends to provide information about opportunities for South Africa-based researchers and research institutions through the Horizon Europe Work Programme for 2023-2024 and specifically its “Africa Initiative II”. This initiative includes a series of calls for proposals which encourage or even require participation of African scientists. The event will explain how to apply to these calls for proposals and will also provide information about mobility and training opportunities for researchers, through initiatives such as Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, EURAXESS Africa and the ESASTAP Platform.
