The tasks of the project to which this grant relates consist of assessing the threat in environmental terms. The aim is to estimate the present and future risk of rural fires for tourism, crossing hazard (spatial modeling of environmental conditioning factors), exposure to risk (location of infrastructures and tourists), and modeling and evaluating future scenarios of hazard and vulnerability.

Work plan
The work plan for the research fellow to be hired is as follows:
- Collection and management of alphanumeric and spatial data;
- Standardization of cartographic data sets for use in spatial modelling and analysis;
- Support in spatial modeling to determine susceptibility and danger to rural fires, exposure of tourist assets and identification and assessment of the vulnerability of tourist hotspots;
- Participation in dynamic mapping work and future rural fire scenarios;
- Application of automated spatial analysis routines with GIS and programming tools to produce cartography and other outputs;
