Admission requirements:

- Bachelor Degree;

- Knowledge of English (written and spoken);

- Knowledge of communication strategies;

- Computer knowledge from the user’s perspective;

- Knowledge of accounting, economics, management, and/or law will be positively valued;

- Experience in the administrative and financial management of research projects and/or R&D units will be positively valued.

Work plan:

The position will consist of participation in the various activities of the research institution, namely:

- Support to the management of R&D projects;

- Resource management of the R&D unit, administration, and secretariat support relevant to the pursuit of the scientific mission of the unit;

- Support in identifying new funding opportunities and submission of applications.

- Organizing and creating content to effectively communicate the centre's research activity.

- Managing the communication channels between the centre, FCT, the University of Porto, and the University of Aveiro.

Applicable legislation and regulations:

Employment Contract Code, approved by Law No. 7/2009 of 12 February in its current wording and its respective regulations.

Workplace:

The work will be carried out at the Centre for Research in Higher Education Policies (CIPES), at its facilities in Matosinhos.

Duration:

The employment contract will end on the 31st of December, 2024.

Salary:

The gross monthly payment is 1122,84€, and updated according to the legally established for the 1st level senior technician career.

Admission and exclusion:

Candidates who incorrectly formalize their candidacy or do not demonstrate the mandatory admission requirements in this notice are excluded from admission to the selection process.

In case of doubt, the selection board has the power to demand from any candidate the presentation of documents proving their declarations.

Selection Methods and Evaluation Criteria:

The applicable selection methods will be the curriculum evaluation and the selection interview.

After the curriculum evaluation, the jury may call up to five candidates for the selection interview. Candidates not selected for the interview are excluded from the process.

The final evaluation will be obtained considering the following weights: Curriculum evaluation (60%) and Interview (40%).

The criteria for evaluating the applications and their respective valuations will be:

Curriculum Evaluation:

- Overall assessment of the candidate's profile and curriculum vitae (60%);

- Experience in managing and communicating R&D projects and/or R&D units (40%).

The classification of each candidate is expressed on a numerical scale from 0 to 20 (to a decimal point), and it is obtained by the average of the classifications of each member of the selection board. In the event of a tie, the decision will be made by the president of the selection board.

After the classification of the Curriculum Evaluation, up to 5 (five) candidates can be selected.

The purpose of the interview will be to deepen, with the candidate, aspects related to his/her profile and curriculum. The classification obtained in the interview will be expressed on a numerical scale from 0 to 20 values (to a decimal point). In the event of a tie, the decision will be made by the president of the selection panel.

Candidates ordering:

The ordering of the candidates will be based on the sum of the points obtained in the Curriculum Evaluation and the Interview and will result in a final classification of up to 20 points (to a decimal point). This is obtained by the average of the classifications of each member of the selection board. Candidates having a combined score lower than 10 are excluded from the final ordering.

The final results of the selection process will be communicated to candidates via email.
