Description
A hosting offer for the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships 2024 call is available at Assoc. Prof. Emin Karagözoğlu’s research program on theoretical and experimental investigation of bargaining games/problems at Bilkent University, Ankara. The applicant’s research should be related to the Dr. Karagözoğlu’s broad research agenda on strategic, cognitive, and psychological factors in bargaining interactions. A non-exhaustive list of topics he studied in this agenda includes fairness judgments, focal/reference points, effects of process variables, preferences for morality, time pressure, communication, joint production, roles of effort vs luck, transaction/preparation costs, procedural justice, and arbitration. Dr. Karagözoğlu’s research emphasizes using different methods such as noncooperative game theory, axiomatic theory, and laboratory experiments. As such, the call is open to those who use any one of these methods as well as naturally occurring data, field experiments, or neuroeconomics experiments to study questions related to bargaining. Successful applicants must have a recent Ph.D. degree in Economics or a related field. Applicants should send their CV to Assoc. Prof. Emin Karagözoğlu at karagozoglu@bilkent.edu.tr and prepare and deliver a remote 30-minute presentation based on their Ph.D/or proposed research. This is not a permanent job offer. Temporary employment contract will be signed if your proposal receives funding from European Commission.
