Description

Do you thrive in the analysis of complex speech data? The MULTIFLOW funded project develops video corpora with thousands of utterances of the same linguistic patterns by different speakers, in English and other languages, all processed with key bodypoint detection and automatic speech analysis.

We are looking to support an MSCA-PF candidate to study correlations between prosody, phonetics, gesture, and meaning.

The Daedalus Lab leads grants and international consortia for research into multimodal communication, with opportunities for secondments and networking. We have a long track record of success in MSCA and other PD schemes.

All early-career researchers trained at our lab have managed to secure high-profile international fellowships, postdoctoral contracts, or tenure-track / permanent positions to support the next step in their careers.

MSCA supervisor Cristóbal Pagán also offers opportunities in his planned ERASMUS MUNDUS MA and the EU-funded MULTIDATA platform for multimodal data science.

UMU (over 30,000 students) has an ample educational and social offer. Murcia boasts rich culture, gastronomy, and sports. Two international airports and multiple blue-flag Mediterranean beaches within less than an hour drive. High-speed train connections to Madrid and many other cities.

Research Areas: Social Sciences and Humanities(SOC), Information Science and Engineering (ENG), Mathematics (MAT)

Applicants must submit a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) and a one-page motivation letter directly to cpcanovas@um.es

Please note that applicants must comply with the eligibility criteria of the MSCA PF 2024 call (must have a PhD degree at the time of the application deadline; must have a maximum of 8 years experience in research and should comply with MSCA PF Mobility Rule, available in the “2.3.2.
