Expression of Interest for Joint Application MSCA-2024-PF
Dr. Sahba Mobini at CSIC (Madrid) and Dr. Amy Gelmi at RMIT University (Melbourne) seek outstanding researchers to apply for MSCA-2024 Postdoctoral Fellowship (Global Fellowship).
We offer cutting-edge research facilities at our laboratories and specialized support to carry out joint multidisciplinary research in Spain and Australia for 3 years (Outgoing: 12-24 months. Return: 12 months). Selected candidates will be invited to work with us and support staff to submit a competitive application for MSCA-2024-PF.
Research:
Multidisciplinary research focused on “Bioelectricity” themes are welcome for this fellowship:
- Electrotransduction mechanisms in non-excitable cells
- Membrane mediated responses of non-excitable cells to electrical stimulation
- Role of electrical stimulation in cell secretion
Your Profile:
- PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Applied Physics, Biology, or Biotechnology
- Strong background in mammalian cell biology, biophysics, and/or electrochemistry
- Effective English written and oral communication skills, demonstrated through publications in reputable scientific journals and presentations at conferences.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary research environment and engage in cross-departmental collaborations.
- High degree of independence and motivation, and interest in learning cutting-edge techniques.
Eligibility Criteria:
- At the time of the Call deadline, 11th September 2024, you must have a PhD degree (successfully defended the doctoral thesis). You must have no more than 8 years of research experience.
- For Global Fellowship, you must not have lived/worked in the country of the Outgoing Phase for more than 12 months in the last 36 months.
