Description
About MOLTECH-Anjou Laboratory
The MOLTECH-Anjou Laboratory is specialized into pi-functional systems, stimuli-responsive architectures and materials for optoelectronic applications (OLEDs, OPVs,...).
The PulSAr team activity lies on the development of supramolecular functional materials with specific electronic and/or optical properties. We focus on the following aspects of supramolecular and organic chemistry:
- coordination driven self-assembly of functional discrete structures;
- self-assembly of photo- and electro-active organogels;
- self-organization of electro- or photo-stimulable foldamers;
- dynamic covalent synthesis of electron-deficient materials.
Presentation of the project
David Canevet, Professor of Organic and Supramolecular Chemistry in MOLTECH-Anjou Laboratory, is looking for a fellow to submit a project to the 2025 MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship call :
The project will be constructed with the candidate. Given my current research interests, it may be related to helical foldamers that can hybridize to form multiple helices, but not necessarily. My research activities are directed by two guidelines: controlling the properties of foldamers by shifting the single-to-double helix equilibrium and reciprocally, controlling the single-to-double helix equilibrium through various types of stimulation (redox, light, guests, pH,...).
I am opened to any kind of thrilling and complementary ideas. For now, I think of developing functional foldamer, potentially chiral, to form stimuli-responsive supramolecular polymers, ion channels, receptors, luminophores,...
In our team, we consider organic synthesis as a tool, the most exciting part being the characterizations and the study of the physico-chemical properties!
We particularly appreciate learning and trying to develop new concepts.
