Description
Jerzy Haber Institute of Catalysis and Surface Chemistry Polish Academy of Sciences (ICSC PAS) is keen to host Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action fellows to work in its research teams and welcomes expressions of interest from excellent post-doctoral researchers to apply for the Individual Fellowship Scheme.
Jerzy Haber Institute of Catalysis and Surface Chemistry Polish Academy of Sciences
The Jerzy Haber Institute of Catalysis and Surface Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences (ICSC PAS) is the only scientific institution in Poland and one of very few in the world devoted entirely to research in catalysis and the chemistry of interfaces. The Institute pursues interdisciplinary studies of phenomena occurring at gas-solid, gas-liquid and liquid-solid interfaces, combining significant aspects of chemistry, physics, biochemistry, medicine, chemical technology, biotechnology, material engineering and heritage science. The fundamental theoretical and experimental studies carried out in the Institute are combined with applied research so that the results obtained can be used directly to improve materials, methods or technological processes. The list of facilities available in Institute is provided on our website.
Layered Minerals, Mesoporous Oxides, Nanostructures Research Group
Layered Minerals, Mesoporous Oxides, Nanostructures is research group established under The Jerzy Haber Institute of Catalysis and Surface Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences (ICSC PAS). The research activities cover design, synthesis, characterization and catalytic applications of nanostructured materials. Among others the research focus on macrocyclic complexes of transition metals, heteropoly compounds and nanostructured ruthenium catalysts as well as catalytic applications of nanostructured materials in the liquid phase catalytic oxidation or hydrogenation reactions.
Postdoctoral position, Catalysts Synthesis/Catalytic Applications
Position of post-doc in the research group of Layered Minerals, Mesoporous Oxides, Nanostructures concerns the design, synthesis and determination of the properties of heteropoly compounds and organometallic compounds type of catalysts. The candidate is expected to have experience in the field of catalytic materials engineering, their physico-chemical characteristics and application in catalytic reactions.
Main Requirements for Candidate:
1. the applicant should have a PhD in chemical or related sciences
2. good spoken and written English
Interested applicants are invited to send a cover letter and CV (including record of journal publications and record of participation in research projects) to ncpamin@cyf-kr.edu.pl with “MSCA-IF Layered Minerals + <candidate’s name>” in the email subject by 31st August 2020.
