Description

Description

IRB Barcelona is a world-class research centre devoted to understanding fundamental questions about human health and disease. Created in 2005 by the Generalitat de Catalunya (Government of Catalonia) and the University of Barcelona, IRB Barcelona is a Severo Ochoa Centre of Excellence.

The institute is devoted to conducting research of excellence in biomedicine and to transferring results to clinical practice, thus improving people’s quality of life, while simultaneously promoting the training of outstanding researchers, technology transfer, and public communication of science. Its 29 laboratories and 7 core facilities address basic questions in biology, chemistry and medicine.

The MSCA grant initiative aims to foster the creativity and innovation of PhD-holding researchers seeking to acquire new skills through advanced training, international collaboration, interdisciplinary work, and cross-sectoral mobility.

Postdoctoral candidates are encouraged to review the list of IRB labs currently accepting MSCA fellows (see below) to identify research areas that align with their interests, get in relation with supervisors, and start preparing a joint proposal:
