Description

InfodemiLab invites applications from recent PhD graduates for a two-year residential postdoctoral fellowship to work with Dr. Suncem Kocer in the Department of Media and Visual Arts (MAVA) at Koç University. InfodemiLab (www.infodemilab.com) is a research group launched in 2020 to study social dynamics that shape the production, circulation, and consumption of false information. The postdoctoral fellow will have the opportunity to advance his/her interdisciplinary and mixed methods research agenda at the intersection between social media studies and social sciences.

The postdoctoral fellowship includes writing manuscripts and preparing grant applications, supporting workshops, organizing research seminars, and attending relevant academic activities.

A PhD in Social Sciences and Humanities is required. Oral and written communication skills in English are a must.

Applications should send by e-mail to sukocer@ku.edu.tr in a single PDF file including:

  • A one-page cover letter, briefly describing your interest and relevant research experience
  • A Curriculum Vitae
  • A writing sample (a journal article, a dissertation chapter, etc.)
  • Two (2) letters of recommendation.

Sponsored Research Office of Koç University will work one-on-one with each candidate throughout the preparation and submission process of the Marie Curie application.
