About
Outline
The FIBR3D project is centred on the emergent technology of Additive Manufacturing
(AM). The main goal of FIBR3D consists on developing a hybrid and integrated
process that combines into a single-step platform additive and subtractive
operations using long or continuous fiber reinforcement thermoplastics. In this
general context it is necessary to develop innovative life cycle assessment (LCA)
methodologies to capture the sustainability impacts of this new manufacturing
process. The working plan will include:
Identification of social impacts of AM technologies.
Identification of occupational health and safety (H&S) impacts of AM
technologies.
Developing case studies.
