PRIDE Program - RESEARCH-INTENSIVE
DOCTORAL EDUCATION

PRIDE is the FNR’s main programme for funding doctoral research in Luxembourg. It supports incoming mobility through the development of critical mass in key research areas by attracting excellent PhD candidates to Luxembourg and offering them high-quality research training. A further aim is that PhD candidates are trained to beccome highly-skilled professionals by working in research team led by a principal investigator. A block of PhD grants is awarded to a consortium of excellent researchers united around a coherent research and training programme. PRIDE is open to all domains of research and technological development. The programme targets research teams that have already a certain track record in doctoral training and wish to consolidate and develop long-term doctoral training programmes around strong research priorities. Although the programme mainly involves research institutes and universities as host institutions, companies in Luxembourg participate as non-contracting partners who are essential for the realisation of the PRIDE project.
