Postgraduate Fellowship “Computer-aided design toolbox for bioprinting applications”

 

 

The Institute of Chemical Engineering Sciences, Foundation of Research and Technology - Hellas, (FORTH/ICE- HT) is seeking applicants for one postgraduate research fellowship in the context of the research project “Precision Manufacturing of Microengineered Complex Joint Implants (JOINTPROMISE)”, which is implemented under the H2020 Research and Innovation Action.

 

 

Job Description

To conduct research in the framework of the aforementioned project "JOINTPROMISE". The main objective of the specific part of JOINTPROMISE is to model and simulate the culture process of microtissues for enhanced bioreactor process design. The main focus will be on the effect of shear stress on microtissues, and bioreactor dimension and geometric feature determination, and step-by-step in silico representation of mass transport through biologically relevant porous media and tissues.

 

 

Location: FORTH/ICE-HT, Patras, Greece

Duration: 4 months, with the potential of renewal

Fellowship: 830 euros/month

Envisaged starting date: 1/10/2020

 

 

Requirements and Qualifications

Education degree: Level of Masters in Chemical Engineering.

Proven experience in research projects.

Candidates must have good knowledge of English.

Proven experience in CFD methods and algorithms and usage of established CFD software, in Computer-Aided Design of chemical bioprocesses at material and module level

Duration of proven research experience in research

Experience in externally funded projects in the aforementioned subjects

Publications in international journals and announcements in conferences in the aforementioned subjects

Number of publications in journals, number of presentations and announcements in conferences and symposia

Selection Procedure

Applications that are received on time will be evaluated by a scientific committee using the criteria mentioned above. If necessary, certain candidates will be invited to a personal interview with the committee.

The outcome of the selection will be announced on the website of FORTH/ICE-HT as well as on the website of “DIAVGEIA”.
