About
Project tasks and objectives:
The MENTOR research initiative will provide a comprehensive and versatile technical platform for the development of next-generation indoor photovoltaics (IPVs) that efficiently re-use energy from artificial illumination to power electronics, eventually contributing to an energy- and climate-neutral future.
The scientific objectives include: 1) To draw up life cycle data inventories for materials, rchitectures, and configurations of IPVs; 2) To define a prospective LCA modelling approach; 3) Life cycle impact assessment of IPV devices; 4) Critical raw materials analysis.
Place of employment: University of Siena - Italy: 36 months
Place planned mobility: during these 36 months the following mobility plan is foreseen for the DC: CEA-IRIG, France, 4 months from M21 with the purpose of Primary data collection for life cycle inventories building.
Eco Recycling (ECO), Italy, 3 months from M31 with the purpose of Data acquisition for recycling strategies of IPVs.

Approximate gross salary: here it is reported the gross cost for the administration (Social security charges are included)
Gross cost without family allowance for 3 years PhD cycle : €140.817,60
Gross cost with family allowance for 3 years PhD cycle: €158.637,60
Eligibility: Recruited researchers can be of any nationality. Doctoral Candidate must be eligible to be enrolled into Doctoral Program at University of Siena and have not been awarded a doctoral degree. The researcher must not have resided or carried out his/her main activity (work, studies, etc) in the country of his/her employer (Italy) for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to his/her recruitment.
The applicant must be in possession of Master of Science (MSc) diploma at the beginning of the employment.
English language requirements: Proficiency in written/spoken English is mandatory.

(publications, patents, etc.) The CV must contain a declaration, made pursuant to Articles. 46 and 47 of Presidential
Decree 445/2000 and subsequent amendments, on the veracity of what is stated therein;
(d) a signed list of publications;
e) any documentation showing the details of the identification document in Italy, in accordance with current
legislation, of the qualifications obtained abroad or, in the absence of a formal recognition, the declaration of submission of the request for equalization.
