About
Originally awarded by the IWT (the former government agency of Flanders for Innovation by Science and Technology) this PhD bursary scheme transferred from the now disbanded IWT to FWO. Its mission is to support Flemish companies and research centres in realizing their research and development projects. Selected PhD candidates will often carry out their research in collaboration with industry partners and also have the opportunity to incorporate a business internship (=intersectoral mobility) into their PhD research
