Each of the Business Development Centres at Ghent University (of which there are about 25) have appointed a PhD graduate with business and academic work experience in order to build bridges between a particular (academic) research expertise and corresponding industries. They are business developers with a close connection to the academic experts, a deep academic knowledge in the field as well the business acumen required to exploit the economic potential of this knowledge
