Outline

The Climate and Health Science Communication Award is a scicomm competition hosted by scientifyRESEARCH with financial support from the Karger Foundation of Karger Publishers and the Letten Prize. The Award seeks to promote the science communication efforts of researchers working on climate and health. The competition is open to researchers worldwide.

What is funded

The Award provides 3 prizes. The first prize winner / winning team receives 4000 EUR for further science communication activities and a personal prize of 1000 EUR. The other two prize winners / winning teams receive 500 EUR each.

Eligibility

Entry requirements: applicants must submit a 1000-word essay, based on their original research article that has already been published in a reputable, peer-reviewed scientific journal between January 1, 2021 and July 31, 2024.

Eligibility criteria: applications are open to individual researchers or teams of researchers. If submitting as a team, all authors on the essay entry must also be authors on the original research article on which the essay is based.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to complete the online registration form to indicate interest and receive communications relevant to the award.

Applicants are encouraged to submit the essay entries as soon as possible, as online traffic has a substantial influence on the outcome of the award. Applicants must submit their essays by September 16, 2024 at the latest.
