The Department of Civil Engineering and Natural Hazards, Institute of Geotechnical Engineering is currently seeking a Postgraduate Research Associate.

Extent of employment:         30 hours per week

Duration of employment:      limited to 28th of February 2026

Gross monthly salary and pay grade in terms of collective agreement for university staff (payable 14 times per year): B1, € 2.458,00

Responsibilities:

• Assistant for teaching and research
• Co-supervision of Bachelor and Master theses
• Involvement in research projects
• Publication of research results
• Research reports

Required skills and qualifications:

• Diploma degree in Civil Engineering, Cultural technology and water management, Technics or other equivalent university degree
• Language skills: German and English

Desired skills and qualifications:

• Solid background in Geotechnical Engineering and Soil Mechanics
• Didactical skills
• Ability to work in a team and flexibility
• Fluent in German and English
