Offer Description
Applications are open for 1 Research Studentship, within the scope of the R&D Unit CiTUA - Centre for Innovation in Territory, Urbanism and Architecture, ref. UIDP/05703/2020, with the financial support of FCT/MCTES (PIDDAC
Workplan: The Território.justo.pt project, integrated in the Spatial Justice Lab of CiTUA, intends to be an exercise in the production of transdisciplinary knowledge that applies the concept of spatial justice in its complexity to the reality of Portugal, on a municipal basis. The project's tasks, which are part of this Scholarship, go through five phases: Learn - Literature Review and selection and analysis of case studies; Build - Proposition of a model/index of Spatial Justice, to be applied to all municipalities in Portugal; Apply - Application of the model in all municipalities on the continent; Simulate - Simulation of scenarios for a municipality based on the manipulation of the data obtained; and Communicate - Scientific dissemination and public dissemination of the intermediate and final results of the project.
It is specifically intended to carry out the following functions: (a) Research and review of reference scientific literature; (b) Specific bibliographical research - political, technical and statistical - and collection and spatialization of relevant data (census and others); (c) Fieldwork and exploratory visits to territories, archives, or other institutions relevant to the project; (d) General support for the execution of the project through the preparation of reports, various contacts and collaboration in other forms of dissemination; (e) Collaboration in scientific publications (articles, chapters and book) and in other activities to disseminate results (project website, Summer School, Workshop, Podcast).
Duration: The research fellowship(s) will have the duration of 6 months. It’s expected to begin in April 2023, and may be eventually renewed up to the end of the project.

Additional Information
Monthly maintenance allowance: According to the values for Research Fellowships awarded by FCT in Portugal (http://www.fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores), the amount of the monthly maintenance allowance is €930,98, being the payment method by Wire Transfer.

Selection methods: The selection methods will be the following:
- Curriculum evaluation (80%).
- Experience in research (20%).
- Individual interview (optional in case of a tie).

Announcement/ notification of the results: The final evaluation results will be communicated to all applicants by email.
