Offer Description
GreenDigiPharma is an EU project under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action Doctoral Network. It aims to address the growing concerns about the environmental impact of the pharmaceutical industry, which is responsible for generating the highest share of pollution in the chemical sector. The project aims to promote sustainable development in the pharmaceutical industry through the adoption of greener approaches and the repurposing of existing drugs. It will deliver a cohort of highly-skilled Ph.D. graduates to lead the green and digital transformation of pharmaceutical manufacturing in academia and industry.
The project will develop greener routes for preparing pharmaceutical products and promote the use of novel technologies, including continuous-flow synthesis, heterogeneous nano- and biocatalysis, renewable carbon sources, and novel purification and digitalization methods.
The Ph.D. student will join Professor Luisi's group (www.renzoluisi-lab.com) and will work on the development of innovative synthetic methodologies under continous flow conditions.
