Research group: Gene expression and immunity Catholic University of Valencia (UCV), Valencia, Spain https://www.ucv.es/investigacion/grupos‐de‐investigacion/grupoclave/1435 Availability of a UCV sponsored predoctoral fellowship towards the completion of a Doctoral Thesis degree in the laboratory of the “Centro de Investigación Traslacional San Alberto Magno (CITSAM‐UCV)” of the “Universidad Católica de Valencia San Vicente Mártir (UCV)”, at the UCV Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, C/ Quevedo 2, 46001 Valencia, Spain is hereby announced. The study will aim at uncovering Pathomechanisms of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, Fibromyalgia and Long COVID‐19 for patient stratification and for the identification of therapeutic targets. The scholarship/contract will start on September 1st, 2023, will have a total duration of 3 years, with a gross annual salary of 16.000 €. A three to six month stay at Oxford University, UK is programmed as part of the PhD training program. Candidate requirements: • Have Spanish nationality, or be a national of a member state of the European Union or be a foreigner with authorization or residence or stay permit for study in Spain, where appropriate. • Be in possession of a MSc degree issued by a Spanish or foreign University in Biomedicine, Genetics, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, or similar fields, after January 1st, 2020. Or currently completing a MSc program. • Accredit a weighted minimum average grade in your grade transcript: 8.0 over 10. Equivalencies to the Spanish grading system should be provided. • Advanced knowledge of Bioinformatics will be valued.
