Offer Description
Studentship for scientific initiation to take part in the project Texts and voices lost and found. Recovering, reconstituting, and recreating musical fragments (c.1100-c.1600), PTDC/ART-PER/0902/2020.
The project will solely take place in Lisbon, Portugal.
The research fellow will assist the research team in the tasks of the project which will be assigned to him/her during the grant period and will contribute to their accomplishment; he/she will also actively participate in other activities of CESEM.
Duration:
The research fellowship’s duration is 6 months and is non-renewable. The expected starting date is 1 February 2023.
Benefits:
The research fellowship corresponds to €486.12 monthly, according to the table of scholarships awarded directly by the FCT, I.P. in Portugal. Added to this amount is the voluntary social insurance corresponding to the first category, if the candidate so chooses, as well as a personal accident insurance.

The candidate must send an application letter, including identification and contact details, accompanied by the following documents: (1) curriculum vitae in the ciênciavitae format; (2) certificate of qualifications with mention of the classifications achieved; (3) declaration on honour that the candidate does not exceed, with the signing of the grant contract in question, an accumulated period of one year in this type of grant, followed or interpolated, and has not already been the beneficiary of any other research grant directly or indirectly financed by the FCT; and, optionally, (4) other documents that the candidate considers to be relevant.

Enrolment in a Musicology bachelor degree or equivalent.
Preferential requirements:
1) have completed the second year of the course;
2) sufficient knowledge of the repertories studied in the project.

Selection method:
The evaluation and ranking criteria of the candidates are the following:
a) Curricular evaluation, on a grading scale from 0 to 5 points, with weighting of the mandatory and preferencial requirements.
b) Interview (optional, carried out, if necessary, by decision of the jury, to all admitted candidates). If needed, candidates will be notified of the respective date by email.
If the interview takes place, the weighting will be 50% for the selection method (a) and 50% for the selection method (b).
The final results, in the form of a list ordered according to the points obtained by each candidate, will be published on the CESEM website (http://cesem.fcsh.unl.pt), and the successful candidate will be notified by e-mail.
