Applications are open for 1 Research Studentship, within the framework of 1801P.01224.1.01 - BE.Neutral, contract nº 35, financed by the European and Resilience Plan
Workplan: Development of methodologies for the analysis of the contribution of waste processing systems and sludge from water treatment plants that contribute to generate negative greenhouse gas emissions in an urban environment, with the co-benefits of minimizing negative impacts on health. Preference is given to candidates with knowledge of Python programming.

Admission Requirements:
a) To be enrolled at a PhD or to be enrolled at a course that does not award an academic degree and it is integrated in the educational project of a higher education institution, performed in association or cooperation with one or several R&D units;
b) To have a master's degree in mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, energy management or related subjects.
c) To have knowledge in the field of energy and waste management.
Additional Information
Monthly maintenance allowance: the amount of the monthly maintenance allowance is € 1259.64, being the payment method of the Fellow by wire transfer.

Selection methods: The selection methods will be the following: Curriculum evaluation, with the respective assessment of curricular excellence (40%) and relevant experience for the project (40%). The best-ranked candidates in the curriculum evaluation will be invited to an individual interview, knowledge tests, others), with the respective weight of 20%.
Composition of the selection Jury: Prof. Paulo Ferrão, Prof. Patrícia Baptista and Dr. Ricardo Gomes.
Announcement/ notification of the results: The final evaluation results will be communicated to all applicants by email.
Deadlines and procedures of complaint and appeal. A complaint may be lodged from the final decision, or an appeal to the Executive Board of IST-ID, within 15 working days counted from the respective notification.
