The Department of Landscape, Water and Infrastructure, Institute of Green Civil Engineering is currently seeking a Postgraduate Research Associate (project employment)

Extent of employment: 30 hours per week 
Duration of employment: as of now, limited to 1 year (with option for temporary extension)
Workplace: 1190 Vienna, Peter-Jordan-Straße 82
Allocation in compliance with the Collective Agreement for University Staff to job group: B1
Gross monthly salary: (depending on previous eligible experience) at least: € 2.786,10
(payable 14 times per year) 

Responsibilities:

• Research in the field of earth construction with focus on material development and evaluation of the mechanical properties
• Participation in teaching at the institute
• Independent work in research and teaching
• Participation in other research projects and conferences
• Taking on administrative tasks

Required skills and qualifications:

• Diploma degree in Civil Engineering, Green Building Engineering, Materials science or other equivalent university degree
• Very good English skills, German is desirable

Desired skills and qualifications:

• Creative thinking and innovative spirit
• Ability to work in a team
• Experience in the construction industry or in the field of sustainable and circular construction
• Experience in the field of earth construction
• Experience in planning and conducting material experiments
• Basic knowledge in the field of automation technology
