Offer Description
The successful candidate will work on innovative projects aimed at advancing the understanding of dynamic processes in liquid environments at the nanoscale. In particular, this position will be focused on conducting of in-situ liquid cell experiments, in a NeoARM TEM microscope, for the assessment of the restructuring mechanism of Cu2O nanocatalysts, in the context of a research project to explore the electrochemical conversion of CO2 to chemical feedstocks. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join LENS group, in the Department of Electronic and Biomedical Engineering, and contribute to cutting-edge research in liquid phase transmission electron microscopy (LP-TEM).The candidate will also be involved in TEM data exploitation.

Autonomous operation of liquid cell in situ transmission electron microscopy.
Extensive experience with transmission electron microscopy, particularly in liquid phase.
Strong background in nanomaterials and their characterization.
Autonomous operation of TEM instruments.
Proficiency in data analysis and image processing software (e.g., DigitalMicrograph, et al.).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or related subjects
Proven track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals concerning liquid phase TEM.
