Offer Description
The Fundación de Investigación Biomédica del Hospital Universitario de La Princesa is calling for applications for a Laboratory Technician position for the Research Unit of the Immunology Department, under the direction of Dr. Sánchez Madrid.
REQUIREMENTS
a)EDUCATION.
Higher-level Laboratory Technician or higher qualification
b)EXPERIENCE
Experience in primary cell isolation techniques from peripheral blood samples and handlingbiological samples in containment level 2 cell culture facilities.
Experience with flow cytometers and confocal microscopes.
Experience in nucleic acid extraction and purification.
Experience in immunofluorescence.
c)OTHER
Proficiency in Microsoft Office at an intermediate or advanced level.
Participation in funded research projects.
Co-author on scientific publications in indexed international journals.
Advanced proficiency in English.
Experience in immune cell activation, proliferation, and apoptosis assays.
TASKS TO BE PERFORMED
Primary cell and cell line culture.
Tumorigenesis assays in mouse models. Inoculation of compounds. Necropsy and organextraction.
Organ processing for histological techniques. Immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence.
Isolation and labeling of peripheral blood cells.

Additional Information
CONTRACTThe selected candidate will work 1642.5 hours annually, with a salary according to the collective agreement of the “Grupo de Empresas de las Fundaciones de Investigación Biomédica de las Instituciones Sanitarias adscritas al Servicio Madrileño de Salud (SERMAS)” for the requested position.
The contract is temporary and linked to the research project “Repurposing cytotoxic compounds from sea organisms for intratumoral cancer immunotherapy (RECYTSEA)” (PLEC2022-009298), with immediate incorporation.
This contract is funded by the European Union’s Recovery and Resilience Mechanism.
Scoring criteria: he evaluation criteria for this offer are as follows, up to a maximum of 17 points:
•Experience in functional cell assays (lymphocyte activation, proliferation, apoptosis) (up to 3points).
•Co-authorship in scientific publications in indexed international journals (up to 4 points).
•Participation in funded research projects (up to 4 points).
•Proficiency in English (B2 - 0.5 points, C1 - 1 point).
•Personal interview: up to 5 points.
Applications that meet the educational requirements and are submitted on time will be reviewed by a jury composed of three members (one president and two members). The received applications will undergo a curriculum evaluation where candidates will be scored based on their merits, according to the requirements of the position. Candidates may then be invited to a personal interview.
