The research aims to identify the potential of tourist destinations, in relation to both tangible and intangible aspects, in order to outline off-season strategies focused on the promotion of their excellences, with an emphasis on sustainability. The methodology will be structured in three phases:
1. Planning: analysis of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of selected minor destinations chosen for their potential tourism development; active involvement of local stakeholders through focus groups and interviews, and comparison between similar destinations to identify best practices.
2. Implementation: development of a strategic plan for sustainable tourism, also based on the proposal of technological solutions to enhance the tourist experience of these destinations.
3. Evaluation: establishment of monitoring and control systems, including the direct collection of feedback from tourists
