- SciLifeLab PULSE, a prestigious MSCA-COFUND postdoctoral program in Life Sciences, is seeking exceptional postdoctoral researchers to join our supportive and inclusive research community.
- PULSE offers two distinct tracks: Academic and Entrepreneurial, each providing a tailored 3-year training experience to prepare researchers for impactful leadership roles.
Academic Track:
- Immerse yourself in cutting-edge research within SciLifeLab's profile areas: Cell & Molecular Biology; Precision Medicine & Diagnostics; Epidemiology & infection biology/Pandemic Laboratory preparedness; Evolution & biodiversity/Planetary biology.
- Access state-of-the-art infrastructure and collaborate with world-class researchers at 9 leading Swedish universities.
- Hone your core research skills and gain expertise in data-driven approaches.
- Expand your network through national and international secondments at academic and non-academic institutions.
Entrepreneurial Track:
- Translate your research into real-world applications with the support of the Drug Discovery and Development (DDD) platform.
- Receive specialized training in entrepreneurship and drug discovery across four key areas: Machine learning; Therapeutic oligonucleotides; Display and selection technologies; Proximity inducing agents.
- Advance your project from TRL 1-2 to TRL 5-6 through hands-on experience and collaboration with industry partners.
- Develop your entrepreneurial skills and gain insights into company formation and technology commercialization.

Applicants must comply with the MSCA mobility rule. This means that the candidate can come from any country in the world, but may not apply if resided or carried out his/her/their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Sweden for more than 12 months during the 3 years preceding the call deadline, unless as part of a procedure for obtaining refugee status under the Geneva Convention (Scholars at risk). Furthermore:
Applicants must be in possession of a doctoral degree, awarded no more than 3 years before the application deadline (with accepted exemptions for deducible time, e.g. compulsory national service, medical and parental leaves of absences, time expended obtaining refugee status under the Geneva Convention). Applicants who have successfully defended their doctoral thesis but who have not yet formally been awarded the doctoral degree will also be considered eligible to apply.
Postdoc should be available for employment, ready to start at or near the announced start date, which is October 1, 2025.

Additional Information
PULSE postdocs will be offered an employment with a competitive, minimum starting gross salary of 38,000 SEK/month (est. 3326 EUR/month). This equals to net salary of 30,000 SEK/month (est. 2605 EUR/month).
In Sweden, additional social benefits are provided through the Swedish social security system, including eg parental leave & subsidised childcare and sick-leave allowance. This means that the gross monthly salary including social benefits equals toapprox. 57,000 SEK (est. 4952 EUR/month).
