Fields related to the development of materials for the conversion and storage of energy, especially thermal energy (thermoelectric materials, solid state heat storage materials, pyroelectric materials), and the development of energy management systems and other systems that use these materials.

・Promotion of research in the above-mentioned specialized fields
・Undergraduate and graduate education in mechanical engineering
(Undergraduate school) Lectures, exercises and laboratory experiments on basics of mechanical engineering and those related to materials engineering and energy technology
